Our speciality is Lambrettas. The core of our business is the complete restoration of original Lambrettas. These machines are completely stripped down to the last nut and bolt and all parts examined to determine their suitability for reuse. Anything dodgy is either repaired or replaced. All metal parts are then sand/bead blasted, in a cabinet of our own design, big enough for a full frame. |

This will remove any traces of corrosion or old paint and then any rebuilding and repair work can be done on them. They are then primed and painted or plated as required. All paint work is done in our specially built spray booth to ensure the highest quality finish and the maximum life. Any original or custom colour scheme can be specified when the vehicle is ordered. |
The engine and gearbox are completely stripped and reassembled to exacting and precise standards with new oil seals, bearings, bushes, gaskets etc. Where necessary crankshafts, pistons and bores and gears and shafts are replaced if they are out of tolerance in any way. Similarly, fuel and exhaust systems are stripped, checked and rebuilt. These machines run better than they ever did, and they were pretty reliable to start with.
The
entire scooter is then be reassembled using new nuts, bolts and washers, either
stainless steel or nickel plated depending on the application. All wiring
replaced, and a 12 volt AC system with electronic ignition fitted to ensure
trouble free starting and running at all times. Control cables, rubber components
and damaged fasteners are also replaced.
Once reassembled, the machines are statically tested to ensure the engine, gearbox, brakes etc. are all OK. We then test ride all machines for a minimum of 5 miles to ensure that everything is working as it should. After this the machine is given a thorough going over and a multi-point check list is used to make sure that the machine is fit and well for the road. They are then given an MOT and reregistered with the DVLA as an historic vehicle with an age related number plate.
These pristine machines, fully guaranteed for 6 months against defects in parts or workmanship, are then ready for you to ride away, in as good a condition as you could have originally bought them in a showroom in the 60s and 70s!
Have a look at our restoration page for an example of our work - you know it makes sense!
